Wild Heart - weaving life into death

Following the death of her aunt in law, Caz Ingall was inspired to take her basket weaving in a different direction. After years of feeling like a part was missing in her work, suddenly everything clicked into place. Wild Heart documents coffin maker Caz in her Warwickshire workshop.
There are some spaces I walk into where the quality of light and ambient sound are just so vibrant. As if the clarity and volume buttons have been turned up to 11.
Caz’s space is just this. I place that holds such a quiet calm. here the light filters through the window, illuminating willow stems as Caz weaves them in and out.
“We’ve lost our way a little bit with how we talk about death and dying. I feel really passinately that we need to change that.”
