Meg Lovell came to me to start her journey with filmmaking for a day’s 1-1, to add these slices of life in motion to her brand clients. I’m so happy to say that she is now up and running, and I’m excited to share her own promo film Catching The Sparks.
“I was astonished at the progress I made in just one day. Sarah is a lovely teacher - the pace always felt gentle, her approach warm and kind, but she managed to cover so much ground and support me so fully that I was amazed by the quality of the film I had created by the end of the session. If you are looking to make an investment to transform your film-making abilities, I cannot recommend Sarah’s 1-1 highly enough.”
1-1 photography day

For me, it’s all about you being in charge of your camera (rather than the other way round), feeling a lot more confident about the way you are shooting, and having fun developing your style.
I cover:
Understanding Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO
Seeing and using natural light and how it creates a feeling in your images
Developing your style as a photographer through practical exercises

Introduction to Lightroom
As with my filmmaking sessions, I can travel to you (depending on your location, there may be additional travel and accommodation costs). I travelled to the west coast of Scotland to help Gill with her photography. She wanted to expand the shots she had been taking, and to use her photographs to document her business. After trying to get to grips with her camera and teaching herself, she decided that a 1-1 session was the way forward. I love these sessions as we can really explore the light in your space. Just a few photos Gill has taken since our time together.
“I fumbled along teaching myself, but not being technically minded, it was frustrating at times. I invited Sarah to come and spend a day with me. Everything changed. Sarah not only brought light, she found light. The day was a day of magical discovery for me, in the capable hands and gentle guidance of Sarah. She opened my eyes and lead me through doors of possibility. My camera is now never far from my hand.”
