THE DREAM: HANNAH NUNN
Filmed over a year 2019 - 2020, West Yorkshire
A few years ago I went for a walk with my dear friend Hannah. After drinking tea from a flask, we walked through the trees and the conversation turned to where Hannah’s first inspirations came from. As she described the warm glow of her childhood doll’s house, and how it inspired her work today, I knew I wanted to make a film about her story.
For me the sparks of someone’s work - the inspiration at the heart of what they create - is just as interesting as the final products. Their sparks ignite my own creativity, and I find myself drawn into their world, keen to share the joy and passion I find there in my film.

In this film I wanted to show Hannah stepping through the seasons so we took our time creating it. We also worked in collaboration with other creatives - Euan Atkinson (Hannah’s son) on the music, and Eloise Garlick on the animations.
