HOME IS WHERE WE BELONG

If our lives are each a single thread, then it is the places where they knot and bind that I am drawn to exploring in my family films. 

These knots of connection are what hold us together. And when we feel lost and unsure we can come back to them, to the places where our lives overlap, to find comfort and solace in shared experience.

We spend our lives moving from room to room. We never stay still for long.

It is the moments when we are passing through from one room to another that I am drawn to capture in films. These moments of transition - whether taken as a family or on our own - are the times when we look back with fondest at what was, and forward with hope for what might be.
